Gerald O’ Sullivan
I am chairman and founder of Headstrong Cycling Club Kildare Town. I was an international cyclist for several years and represented Ireland in various competitions around the world. I competed in three World and European Triathlon Championships.
I was a very competitive cyclist/athlete for many years and have recently returned to cycling in a non competitive way and am very much enjoying this. I have been back cycling for about two years and have had a set back due to an injury I sustained after a fall off my bike last year. I have had treatment and for this problem and as a consequence found some relief from my pain.
Recently my injury returned and I contacted my G.P. about getting some physiotherapy/ acupuncture as I was very sore. I was given Barry Kehoe’s details and have been attending Barry’s sports injury clinic for the last couple of months.
I have found Barry to be very professional and extremely knowledgeable not just about cycling or triathlon but about all aspects of health and fitness. Barry spent well over an hour with me going through my history and lifestyle. After only a few sessions I felt a considerable improvement and have been working very closely with Barry to maintain and improve my fitness and condition. Anytime I had a question or query Barry got back to me straight away and this is something I really appreciated.
Barry has sent me several videos and clips which have been of great benefit as they show clearly the exercises and routines that I am doing as part of my rehabilitation process. I would have no problem recommending Barry as he is an excellent physiotherapist and is very friendly and courteous. Also, if you are a member of a club you will receive a discount and this all helps when one is attending on a regular basis.

I was very lucky to find physio Barry Kehoe by chance on line. His website was great, easy to navigate around, with quality and relevant information. When I contacted Barry initially to advise my personal situation, he was straight back to me although he was away out of the office at a Gael force event. We discussed my injury briefly via emails and then agreed that a consultation would be the next step. My situation is, I am a runner, with a running injury and Barry, who also runs and is training for the Dublin marathon 2012 could relate to my knee cartilage injury from a running point of view. It is great to be able to discuss running, training, mileage, relative workouts etc with somebody who actively partakes in this sport themselves. My orthopaedic surgeon was amazed how far Id come when I went back for the final consultation and I would put alot of the speedy recovery down to Barrys specific injury work outs and alot of hard graft. I am now back in training, running pain free for the first time in 6 months..just wish Id found Barrys practice last March!!.Highly Recommended

Kehoe Physio has provided an excellent service to me for several years. Playing competitive sport I have had a variety of injuries ranging from minor strains to major dislocations. The professional way in which each problem has been handled has allowed me to return to sport rehabilitated, and in several cases stronger and fitter. Barry’s attention to detail and personalised exercise & rehab programs really made a difference not just to treat the injuries but to help prevent further complications by correcting weaknesses. As Head Coach of Cill Dara RFC I had no problem employing Kehoe Physiotherapy as our primary physiotherapy partner, this relationship was continued when as Manger of the Leinster Rugby’s junior team I appointed Barry as our Physiotherapy partner in 2010.

Although a little sceptical that physio would help with the persistent and reoccurring nature of shin splints.... I have been gladly proven wrong! Historically haven spent endless effort and money on over coming this problem, in a matter of 3 weeks and with the professional guidance of Barry Kehoe I went from only managing a mile due to pain, to running the Kildare Half Marathon! The educational approach among Barry's physiotherapy techniques has assisted me greatly. Barry explained the bio-mechanics of the body that makes perfect sense, which allowed for a greater understanding of where the problem lies and how best it can be treated.....while also highlighting my responsibilities in overcoming the problem! The work is now down to me, but thanks to Kehoe Physio I feel confident in preparing for Dublin City Marathon...

I played my first 60 minutes of football in two years the other night. I remember saying to you “I’d be lucky to run again”. Through you treatments, advice and connections I actually feel fitter, stronger than I ever did.
I have to say a massive thank you, and the very best of luck with the new venture.
For those of you who need a physiotherapist that not only treats your injuries but will do his utmost to prevent it happening again, I can’t recommend Kehoe Physiotherapy highly enough.

I attended Barry’s clinic recently for my rehab programme after having spinal disc surgery. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I found Barry's approach to my recovery was extremely positive; he would email me my exercises with photos/ diagrams which I found very helpful. Having attended other physios previously for other ailments I found Barry’s approach refreshing. His use of machinery is minimal unlike other physios and his approach is very much to educate the patient to help themselves on their recovery journey. He never seems to rush you through the appointment and is very reasonably priced. I am fully recovered and back to work leading an active life. With a lot of hard work from Barry and myself I recently completed a 10km run only 14 weeks post my surgery!! I think that is testiment enough of his excellence as a chartered physiotherapist.
